Eleuthera (Bahamas) -March 2012
Learning about island biogeography, fossils, biodiversity and kalik.
I participated in this course-expedition organized by Dr. David Steadman and J.A. Soto-Centeno from the Florida Museum of Natural History. It was a great experience digging fossils, learning about blue holes, local plants and vertebrate diversity.
Cerro de la Muerte, San Gerardo de Dota, Talamanca Mountains (Costa Rica) -March 2011
It was a short field trip (~2 weeks) with Dr. Sarah Alger from the University of Texas at Austin. We drove the field vehicle to the cloud forest in the mountains of Talamanca to trap/collect small mammals.
Pear Islands (Panama) -September 2011
With funds from the FLMNH, I organized an exploratory field trip to San Jose and Pedro Gonzalez Islands in the Gulf of Panama. We focused our efforts in birds and mammals. David Steadman, Nicole Cannarozzi, Ty Christian and John Kilmer were part of the crew.

Trapping mammals with Dr. Melvin Sunquist and Dr. David Reed and students from the mammalogy course. Bret Pasch, Julie Allen and Leslie Baboonis were also part of the instructors team.
Chagres and Portobelo National Parks (Panama) -2006-2007
I participated under a grant from SOMASPA in a biodiversity monitoring program in the Chagres Conservation Area; located in Central Panama. (you can find more about this project at www.somaspa.org).
